Laptops are certain types of computers which are also known as notebooks. This type of computer is very portable or handy that you can carry and use it in various kind of environment. This electronic device includes spare parts such as the trackball or the track pad that serves as the stationary mouse (new laptop models can already be attached with external mouse), screen, and keyboard. It also has battery that enables the laptop to be operated even without being plugged in to the outlet source of power due to the fact that laptops are computers to be used on anywhere and anytime without the hassle of what desktop computers can provide. It also has power adapter to enable the user recharge the in-built battery as it gets weak and also has several and various drives and ports for enhanced functionality.

It is a known fact that laptop computers are actually slower and lesser in system functionality and capabilities than desktop computers. However, the advancement in science and technology had made laptop computers to perform as well as desktop computers.

Nowadays, high-end computer laptops already perform much better than low and even middle ranged desktop computer systems, indeed. As stated above, most of the common laptops today has various I/O ports and drives like external mouse ports and USB ports which enable standard mouse and keyboard to be used with laptop computers.  Latest models of computer laptops even includes wireless networking adapters or broadband which allows users to access the web even without the tangling wires to be used.

As computer laptops evolve to be very convenient, efficient, powerful, and even more functional, its price also evolves even more expensive. Modern computer laptops do cost thousands of dollars which is more than the price of desktop computers with complete hardware components like the CPU, mouse, monitor, and speakers/headsets.

Another disadvantage of using laptop computer is that it does cause minor and even severe fatigue than using desktop computer due to the fact that its radiation is stronger than what desktop has and that its small hardware features are quite inconvenient to manipulate.

It only means that computer portability is really not that necessary in having computers but rather the value and real-time convenience.
